Remady & Player "sweet&sexy"

Remady
DJ Remady first got in contact with turn tables and mixer at the age of 9. His at that time 15 year old brother had just purchased the necessary gear.

At the beginning he was only interested in Hip-Hop and Scratching. Later he learned that mixing is an indispensable skill for being a succcesful club Dj. In 1994 he changed his style from Hip-Hop to Happy-Breakbeat, he then perfomed for the first time in public at a White Dove Promotion party at Zurichs Exit club.

Later that year, seeing DJ Hypes performance at the Magic Factory became a turning point for him and afterwards he started with Drum n Bass / Jungle. he was working hard to improve his scratching and mixing. Late in 97, the DJ Management UNITED TRIBE BERNE asked him to join them. Known as DJ Evol he then performed at several clubs and big raves. He impressed the Jungle family with his powerful sets and was not to be missed at all the major Drum n Bass events. Troughout the years he dedicated himself to a lot of different styles, nevertheless all of which had one thing in common, they were black music.

Thereby he became interested in producing songs himself.Together with a friend (Mister Fine Style) he built up a small studio and started doing their own thing. Tunes such as "wanna be" and "death song" got released and became quite successful. Shortly after the 2 step and uk garage had started in the UK, he began ordering the latest tunes from London. A friend of his established the nowadays nationwide known lable Sweet and Sexy and started doing parties in bern. With his new name, DJ Remady could once again make an impression on the party people with his unique style and skills. At the moment he's one of switzerlands most wanted garage Djs. He produced several tracks featuring the singer Tylene. The first tune "Groovething" was immediately licensed by Djbeat/Emi and released as a maxi-CD single. The song and video-clip struck a chord with the party-people and the track was No.1 of the VIVA Swizz Dance Charts.

Remady and Dj Player have formed a producer team, promoting their matchless sound in Switzerland as well as abroad. In dezember 2002 the first album "REPRESENTING" was licensed by MME/Emi and releasad in switzerland and a few other countries. On this Album we got artists like Sandy, MC Herbzie, Raquel or the well known swiss soul and r'n'b singer seven, on the cd are 14 tracks plus one special rmx of "double l" performed by herbzie, and the video clip from our single release summertime (feat. seven).

at the momment remady is working hard in the studio and do track after track, the most of them are dubplate specials, remixes like "fill me in" craig david, "gimme the light" sean paul, and tracks with general levy (wicked wicked junglist massive). the futur plans are making dubplates with artists like bounty killer, demoliton man and uk apachi..

Player
In summer 1995 DJ Player became interested in the two turntables, inspired by his brother DJ Paradizer, well known as one of switzerlands leading Drum'n'Bass-DJ.

Soon he gained with UK-Happy Hardcore (Slamming Vinyl, Knite Force etc.) his first mixing skills. At the same time he founded Black sheep Productions together with DJ Psyko and organised underground events in the area of Winterthur. DJ Player became more interested in Drum'n'Bass. In winter 1996 the time had come for a change of style.

A very successful time followed on the top of the Swiss Drum'n'Bass-scene. He joined 1997 the nationally most successful Drum'n'Bass-Agency United Tribes Berne. There he got to know his friend, manager and current room mate Gary. In spring 1999 Gary had left United Tribes and started a new Project Sweet and Sexy - UK House and Garage. After DJ Player had heard a few tapes from London, he was fascinated by this music.

At the same time he founded together with friends Score-inc. - a Drum'n'Bass-party-organisation with a booking-agency as well. But he was more and more interested in UK-Garage and it was only a question of time untill he bought his first Garage records. In spring 2000 he became a member of Sweet and Sexy.

His first UK-Garage performance in the sold out club Temple in Berne was a big success. One year later he decided to play only UK-Garage unless some Olkskool Jungle-Sets. In spring 2001 he mixed together with DJ Remady the first official Swiss UK-Garage compilation Sweet and Sexy - How to step 1, which has been released on DJ Beat/EMI. The 8th position in the Swiss compilation charts was a great honour for him. One year later they released How to step 2 (charts pos. 6)and end of march 2002 they released the third compilation Boo! with the sensational 4th position charts-entry. At the same time they had the first release in the UK on Dolphin records. The track Sweet Lies was sold out in 3 weeks. In this summer they came with the fourth and most successful Compilation "the new style". They landet on place 3 in the national Charts. 2 Months later Player and Remady put out a single-release called "summertime feat. Seven" on the Metamorph-Entertainment-La bel. The video was a big success and is playing on the national Music-TV "VIVA" till today. Today DJ Player is the most booked UK-Garage DJ in Switzerland. He plays in most clubs and raves where UK-Garage is on the program. He receives also bookings from the surrounding countries.

On 27 december 2002 Player&Remady will bring out the first european (without UK)Garage-Album call "representing". There are 15 own track incl. names like MC Ranking, MC Herbsie, Seven, MC D-Fine, Raquel and more.
